By completing the program, you will obtain: 

1. A certificate of achievement from the Continuing Education of the Université de Moncton

2. AMANB's  Level 1 – Basic Professional Certification in Local Government Administration.

The program is composed of three blocks:

  1. Leadership and Management
  2. Technical Aspects of Governance
  3. Operational Management and Contemporary Themes

In order to obtain a certification from the program, participants must complete a minimum of 12 out of 17 workshops, and at least three workshops per block. Certain workshops are mandatory. 

Also note that each workshop can be attended individually.

BLOCK 1 - LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

3. How to Manage Workplace Conflicts
4. Managing Human Rights Issues
5. Staffing and Retention: Closing the Loop
6. Change Management: overcoming resistance
7. Mastering the Art of Communication in Delicate Management Situations

BLOCK 2 - TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF GOVERNANCE

1. Working with Council Effectively – Guiding Principles and Best Case Practices

2. Municipal Money Matters

3. Managing Cases of Dangerous or Unsighly Premises

4. Navigating  the Laws Governing Municipalities in New Brunswick

BLOCK  3 - OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND CONTEMPORARY THEMES

1. Introduction to Project Management
2. Lean Management for Municipalities
3. Strategic Planning: Focused on the Right Things
4. Cybersecurity at the Centre of Municipal Operations

5. Climate Change and Emergency Mesures

6. Territorial Marketing and Partnerships from a Real Estate Perspective
