FAQ

What are the selection criteria to participate in this course?
This event is not based on a selection of candidates, but on the registration of any person and/or professional with an intentional interest in children’s rights.

What is the registration deadline?
The registration deadline is to be determined for the 9th edition of the course.

I need a temporary visa to visit Canada. What are the procedures?
If you are not aware of the procedures for obtaining a visitor visa, please visit the Government of Canada website.

I need a letter of invitation to submit my visa application. How do I proceed?
In order to receive an invitation letter to the International Summer Course on the Rights of the Child, you must register for the course and pay the registration fee. Subsequently, an invitation letter and a confirmation of registration will be sent to you by email.

What is the Refund Policy?

Any request for a withdrawal from the International Summer Course on the Rights of the Child must be submitted by email to droitsdelenfant@umoncton.ca.

If this request is received before a period of 28 calendar days preceding the date of the activity, a $75 administrative fee will be charged. For a withdrawal between eight and 28 days of the date of the activity, 50% of the registration fee will be charged. After this period (seven days or less before the date of the activity), no refund can be made.

In the case of a visa refusal, a refund can be requested with a written and valid proof of refusal sent to droitsdelenfant@umoncton.ca. Refunds for visa refusals can be granted until seven days prior to the beginning of the event. Please note that a $75 administrative fee will be retained.

If you are unable to attend the International Summer Course on the Rights of the Child, you can be replaced by another person if a notice is sent at least seven working days before the date of the activity.

In the event of cancellation of the activity, the registration fee will be refunded in full.

All reimbursements must be made on the same credit card used for purchase.

What fees I will have to pay?
The registration fee for the full week is $595. This cost includes teaching materials, health breaks and lunches. The following expenses will be at your own expense during your stay in Moncton: visa fees, accommodation fees, air travel and any other personal expenses, including the evening meal.
