Over the next five years, the Atlantic Pole of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Data Management (PLEIADE) has set itself the mission of supporting the creation of new programs and training, supporting the recruitment of new faculty resources, creating a collaborative study and work environment of the future, and developing Canadian and international partnerships for internships, research collaborations and student recruitment.

To achieve these goals, two major interdependent fields are targeted: artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. Their role in problem-solving and decision-making is of paramount importance in today's world. The Université de Moncton will be one of many universities to take this step, with the support of the province and ACOA.
