About us

About us

Child and Youth Advocate of New Brunswick in 2018, the the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Children's Rights (GRIDE) responds to a need to develop and stimulate research in the field of children's rights, in New Brunswick and, more broadly, in the Atlantic provinces and in the Francophonie.

GRIDE aims to be a leading hub for research and knowledge mobilization related to children's rights, bringing together stakeholders from the Atlantic and beyond.

GRIDE pursues the following objectives:

  • Support the development of collaboration, research, and training in the field of children's rights.
  • Contribute to the development and validation of tools that promote the recognition and implementation of children's rights in the various areas covered by the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
  • Contribute to the development of the International Summer Course on Children's Rights or the organization of similar events.
  • Organize symposia and conferences on children's rights, as well as activities to promote, engage, and raise public awareness.
  • Contribute to raising awareness of children's rights needs.
