The Université de Moncton offered its first co-operative program in 1987, as part of a Bachelor of Nurtrition Sciences program. The next co-op program that was introduced was in the MBA program in 1996; the Co-operative Education Office (BEC) was created the same year. Since that time, the (BEC) has coordinated the university's various co-operative programs. Several other programs have recently decided to offer their students the option of work / study programs, demonstrating the Université de Moncton's interest in fostering co-operative education.
