Children

Pre-school-age children may accompany a parent into either changing room; however, school-age children may only enter the changing room appropriate to their gender. Parents with school-age children of the opposite gender who need to accompany them may use a family room when one is available. Please check the schedule for details.

Children may not use any sport area unsupervised, but must be either accompanied by a parent or participating in a special group activity.

Exceptions

Children may use the pool during public swimming hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

Saturday and Sunday, a child may accompany a parent who is a CEPS member to play the same sport or use the same sport area (with the exception of the weight training room).

Note : Children must pay all appropriate equipment rental fees and may not reserve sport areas.

Public Swim Admission

Any child or teenager 15 years old and under must be supervised by an adult at least 18 years old.

Any child between 7 and 11 years old who cannot swim or 6 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old who must remain within arms reach. A swimming test may be required for a child between 7 and 11 years old to swim without an adult within arms reach.

Ratios:

1 adult per 2 children who cannot swim

1 adult per 4 children who can swim or with personal flotation device (PFD)

CEPS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE IF MORE PARENTAL SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED OR TO ENFORCE THE USE OF CERTIFIED PFD.
