A pool requires close surveillance due to the unique nature of this facility. Too often, accidents occur that could have easily been avoided by following safety regulations. For this reason, the following regulations must be strictly adhered to. Someone’s life may depend on it. Please read the following regulations so you will be familiar with them when you want to use the pool.

Policies
Pool Hygiene, Cleanliness, and Safety
- All those wanting to use the pool must shower before entering.
- Individuals with infectious or contagious illnesses are forbidden from using the pool.
- Swimming caps are required at all times, except during diving training sessions.
- Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the pool area.
- Food and beverages are not permitted in the pool area.
- Pushing others into the water, diving in the shallow end, and jumping or diving into the pool backwards are strictly forbidden.
- Only one person is allowed on a diving board at a time, and jumping more than once on a diving board or swimming in the diving area is forbidden. Anyone using the diving boards or the diving tower does so at his or her own risk.
- Running and fighting are forbidden in the pool or pool area.
- Swearing and spitting is strictly forbidden in the pool area.
- Individuals committing acts of mischief, indecency, or vandalism will be prosecuted.
- Individuals aged 13 or under are considered children; those aged 14-17 are considered teens; and those aged 18 and up are considered adults.
- Only bathing suits may be worn in the pool.
- Pool facility employees are not responsible for personal belongings.
- Spectators are not allowed inside the pool area.
The management of CEPS reserves the right to evict anyone who does not respect the rules. CEPS management reserves the right to limit access to the pool during swimming lessons or other activities and to announce new rules in emergency situations or when the safety and well-being of those present are at risk.
Public Swim Admission
Any child or teenager 15 years old and under must be supervised by an adult at least 18 years old.
Any child between 7 and 11 years old who cannot swim or 6 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old who must remain within arms reach. A swimming test may be required for a child between 7 and 11 years old to swim without an adult within arms reach.
Ratios:
1 adult per 2 children who cannot swim
1 adult per 4 children who can swim or with personal flotation device (PFD)
CEPS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE IF MORE PARENTAL SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED OR TO ENFORCE THE USE OF CERTIFIED PFD.
