The Université de Moncton awarded 957 diplomas and certificates at its three campuses during the 2019-2020 academic year: 66 at the Edmundston campus, 821 at the Moncton campus and 70 at the Shippagan campus.

This year the Governor General of Canada’s Gold Medal was presented to Andy Couturier, graduate in the Master of Science (Computer Science) program, who finished with an average of 4.3. The Silver Medal went to Alisson Cormier, who finished her Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) with an average of 4.3.

“The university community and I offer our warmest congratulations to our graduates in the Class of 2020,” said Jacques Paul Couturier, interim President and Vice-Chancellor. “You’re now part of a diverse, engaged family of graduates around the world. The knowledge you’ve gained at the Université de Moncton will launch you toward your dreams. Remember that you’re capable of great things and that your ambition will take you where you want to go.”

The Université wishes to highlight the exemplary commitment of two graduates who were awarded the Ordre du mérite Bleu et Or. This, the Université’s most prestigious student distinction, is awarded to graduates showing extraordinary university performance and leadership in extracurricular activities. This year’s recipients are Josianne Guay, graduating with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, and Andréa Lebel, graduating with a Master of Biochemistry.

As well, 200 students — 10 at the Edmundston campus, 170 at the Moncton campus and 20 at the Shippagan campus — won a place on the academic honour roll, which recognizes graduates with an average of at least 4.0.

Detailed statistics on the degrees awarded (by level, Faculty, etc.) are found on the page Données sur la diplomation (in French only) along with a list of graduates found under liste des diplômées et diplômés (in French only).
