Mes intérêts de recherche portent principalement sur les interactions entre les plantes et leurs agents pathogènes et vise à caractériser les mécanismes moléculaires par lesquels les facteurs de virulence microbienne (effecteurs) interfèrent avec le système immunitaire des plantes. Plus précisément, mon programme de recherche se rapporte à la spécificité d'organe ou de type cellulaire dans de telles interactions.

Mes travaux utilisent surtout la pomme de terre et le cannabis comme plantes d'intérêt.

De façon générale, je m'intéresse également aux possibilités offertes par la génomique et la bio-informatique, que ce soit au niveau des micro-organismes pathogènes ou des plantes elles-mêmes.

The Joly lab focus on the interactions between plants and their pathogens, and aims at characterizing the molecular mechanisms by which microbial virulence factors (effectors) interfere with the plant immune system. Specifically, our research program relates to the ORGAN- and CELL TYPE-SPECIFICITY in such interactions.

Lab work mainly focus on potato and Cannabis.

We are also interested in the opportunities offered by genomics and bioinformatics to better understand the biology of organisms, whether micro-organisms or plants!
