With an assurance of participation in the playoffs, the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus will now develop their response on the ice to prepare well by playing two home games this weekend in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey.

The Blue and Gold (11-13-1-1=24points, 5th position) is aiming to climb to 4th place in the standings with 4 games to play in regular schedule. The Saint Mary's University Huskies (17-9-0-0=34pts, 2nd position) will be the opponents Friday at the J.-Louis-Lévesque arena while the Acadia University Axemen (9-14-2-1=21pts, 6th position) will be the visitors Saturday, both games at 7 p.m.

“The important thing for us is to continue in the same direction as last weekend,” said coach Derek Cormier. “We must prepare well for the playoffs using these two big games against the Huskies and the Axemen. We need to show that we are there, and we want to climb in the rankings. We are aiming for the4th spot.”

“We found our team from the beginning of the season last weekend,” added goaltender Étienne Montpetit. “We picked up 3 of 4 points and we managed to do some great things. We're going to focus on our game. We must keep things simple and play as a team in a unit of 20 guys. We saw at the beginning that working together and as a team, we will be successful. We must work for our chum next to us and if we focus on that, we will be successful.”

Forward Mika Cyr who will miss the balance of the season remains on the injury list. Étienne Montpetit will be the starting goalkeeper.
