Aigles Bleues to host Tommies on Wednesday

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-10-0-0=8pts, 7th position) will keep up their efforts to win a third straight game Wednesday as they host the St. Thomas University Tommies (5-8-1-0=11pts, 6th position) for the first time this season in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

This is a first meeting of the season between these two teams who have a similar record. Blue and Gold coach Marc-André Côté is looking forward to this meeting, which is a 4-point game in the standings. A win for Moncton will move them one point closer to the Tommies in 5th place. A defeat will result in a five point gap.

“We played in pre-season, but we don't know this team very well,” said Côté. “We certainly want to continue our winning streak. The team has been playing well for a few weeks and we need to keep playing with confidence. This should be an exciting game.”

Moncton has won its last two games while the Tommies have lost their last 4. Moncton has 30 goals scored and 31 against in 14 games compared to 23 and 42 for the Tommies.
