Volleyball: Aigles Bleues to play 3 road games
The final games of the first half of the season in women's volleyball for the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues will happen this weekend when the team travels to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador for three games at the Atlantic University Sport tournament at Memorial University.
Still looking for a first win this season, the Blue and Gold (0 and 6) will face the Dalhousie University Tigers (5 and 1) on Friday at 5:30 p.m., the Memorial University Sea-Hawks (0 and 5) on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and the Acadia University Axewomen (6 and 0) on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. to conclude the competitions of the first semester.
“We had some good innings with close scores against Acadia last weekend and we have to continue in this wave,” said coach Joline Richard. “We are still looking for our first win. We are excited and we have shown that we can play with any team. We still had difficulty finishing the set firmly as we bean it. We took the lead a few times. It will be important during these games on the road to continue our progression and that the players gain the experience.”
The team hits the road on Thursday.
