Zoé Brockbank and Mohamed Lamine Touré are UMoncton Athletes of the Week
Soccer players Zoé Brockbank of Grande-Digue and Mohamed Lamine Touré of Moncton, New Brunswick, are the IRM Moncton MRI athletes of the week from September 26 to October 2, 2022 as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.
In her third year as a member of the Aigles Bleues team, Zoé Brockbank scored her team's first goal of the season on Sunday in a 3-1 loss to the Saint Mary's University Huskies. She stood out on the field with her offensive and defensive game in midfield and was able to recover balls to revive the attack. She is a fourth-year bachelor student in education (physical education).
In his first season with the Aigles Bleus in soccer, Mohamed Lamine Touré managed to score both goals on Sunday in a 2-0 victory over a higher-ranked Saint Mary's University Huskies team. He worked well defensively and in transition with a remarkable attitude. He is a first-year bachelor's student in sports, leisure and tourism management.
