Alexane Dupuis and Thomas Maillet are the UMoncton athletes of the week
Alexane Dupuis of Dieppe and Thomas Maillet of Moncton, New Brunswick, are the IRM Moncton MRI athletes of the week from September 5 to 11, 2022 as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.
Midfielder Alexane Dupuis was the most complete and consistent player during the Aigles
Bleues two weekend games in Atlantic University Sport women's soccer. She managed to
create with confidence and technical ease the link between the defensive and the attacking
zones during the construction of the game. She was very combative and able to win several
duels defensively, which allowed the team to win several balls for the renewal of the
attack. She is a second-year bachelor's student in education (physical
education).
Thomas Maillet, a midfield player, had an assist on the goal that allowed the team to gain a point in the standings during one of the two Aigles Bleus men's soccer weekend games. With a draw and a loss for his team, he showed a lot of leadership and fair play. Maillet was involved in many plays during both games. He is a bachelor of science student (biochemistry).
