The end of the regular season will ring for the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (12-3-10=6pts, 5th position) on Sunday with the visit of the Saint Mary's University Huskies (14-10-4=20pts, 1st position) in Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball action.

The game takes place Sunday at 2 p.m. at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium. Following two difficult weeks, the Aigles Bleues will use this meeting to prepare for the quarterfinal one game series to be held next week.

The Aigles Bleues have been decimated by COVID-19 in the last 14 days and a number of players have not had the chance to train as a team in preparation for this game against the Huskies. Two games were cancelled for this reason. The final game took place on February 20 against Memorial.

“The last two weeks have been more difficult due to COVID-19 and we will be there on Sunday to prepare for the playoffs,” said coach Joline Richard. “We will use it as a preparatory game. A few players will not be eligible to play on Sunday. This is our graduates’ game to highlight the last regular-season game for Télia Gaudet.”

“We want to get back on track with the challenges we've had with COVID and give our 100 percent,” said passer Cassidy Martin. “We will evaluate the Huskies' game and work on our strategies. This is an important game to get ready for the playoffs. We are mentally preparing for our opponent and we will have to work together and have good communication.”

A ceremony preceding the game will be held in centre court to highlight the years of Télia Gaudet in the blue and gold uniform.

Spectators are admitted to the game at the CEPS. However, a face mask must be worn properly at all times when in the CEPS, except for active drinking or eating. No proof of double vaccination or identity will be required to enter the building.
