Lianne Desforges and Vincent Deslauriers are UMoncton's Athletes of the Week
Lianne Desforges, of Clarence-Rockland, Ontario and Vincent Deslauriers, of Blainville, Quebec, are the IRM Moncton MRI athletes of the week from February 21 to 27, 2022 as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.
Forward Lianne Desforges was consistent in last week's Aigles Bleues hockey game. She was an inspiration to her teammates with her play on the ice. She is a first-year student in social sciences-criminology.
Team captain Vincent Deslauriers played his 99th and 100th career games in an Aigles Bleus men's hockey uniform. He scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday night's game with 5 shots on goal to celebrate his 100th game. He won 8 of 19 face-offs on Friday night. He is a master's student in business administration - coop.
