An Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey game between the Mount Allison University Mounties and the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on the Moncton campus.

It's the return game following a 5-2 win for the Blue and Gold last Friday at the Mounties' home in Sackville. The recent games between these two clubs are quite tight and interesting for spectators. The Mounties have one win in 17 games this season losing the majority by one or two goals. The team is in8th and in last place in the standings. For their part, the Aigles Bleues have a record of 7-9-0-1 for 15 points and in 6th place with five games to play in regular season. Due to schedule interruptions caused by the pandemic, each team is guaranteed to participate in the end-of-season playoffs.

“Our goal remains the same, to continue our progress on the ice,” said Aigles Bleues head coach Marc-André Côté. “Having played a first game in more than two months, we must now demonstrate an improvement in all areas of the game. We aim to go far in the playoffs and play effectively in all three zones of play.”

All players are available for the match. Spectators are admitted to the game. They must present proof of double vaccination against COVID-19 and a government-issued ID card to access the rink and will be required to always wear a face mask when in the arena, except for active drinking or eating.
