Audrey Berthiaume and Alexis Roy Are Université de Moncton Athletes of the Week
Hockey players Audrey Berthiaume, of Saint-Bruno, and Alexis Roy, of Amos, were chosen as athletes of the week for the period from January 20 to 26, 2020 by the Université de Moncton Athletic Department.
Goaltender Audrey Berthiaume made 16 saves in the team’s loss to the St. Thomas Tommies, on Wednesday. She was named Subway player of the game on Saturday in her team’s 2-1 win over Mount Allison University. She made 26 saves, and of those, several had a high level of difficulty. She is a second-year science (nutrition) student.
Forward Alexis Roy led the Aigles Bleus offensive push during the weekend. His team qualified for the playoffs. On Friday, he scored once in his team’s 4-2 loss. He had 6 shots on goal and was +1. He scored a hat trick and added an assist on Saturday in the 6-1 win. He was named Subway player of the game. He took six shots on goal and was +4 at the end of the game. He stands in 38th positionin the Atlantic University Sport scoring race (7-9=16 points). He is a third-year administration (accounting) student.
