This is the third of four competitions this season for the Aigles Bleues and Aigles Bleus under coach Jean-Marc Doiron. Québec university teams will also participate and offer the Atlantic runners an opportunity to compare themselves to the best in that province.
“This is a first opportunity to measure our runners to those from Québec,” stated Jean-Marc Doiron. “For the younger runners, it will also be a first opportunity to see opponents from outside the Atlantic provinces. This is an important race for our runners looking to take in the national U SPORTS championship. Our top athletes could be Nassim Bousmaha and Sophie Black. Carol-Ann MacDonald will not run, preferring to rest for the Moncton and Atlantic competitions in the next few weeks.”
Aigles Bleues runners will be Sophie Black, Myriam Cormier, Myriam Cyr, Émilie Guthrie, Pascale Richard and December Sampson. Aigles Bleus runners will be Nassim Bousmaha, Christian Haché, Alexandre Leclair, Vincent Leclair, Jeremy Rolle and Jean-Raphaël Vinay. Jean-Marc Doiron will run in the open category.
