Jean-François Plante and Alex Saulnier honored

Forward Jean-François Plante and Alex Saulnier, of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus, were named on the first and second Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey all-star teams, respectively, for the 2016-2017 season.

Plante was the AUS and U SPORTS top goal scorer this season with 28, in 30 games. He added 12 assists for 40 points, in fifth spot in the individual statistics. He had 8 power play goals, one shorthanded, four winning, two hat tricks and a league leading 130 shots on goal.

Alex Saulnier had 36 points on 10 goals and 26 assists, ranked 7th. He added two power play goals, two winning and 79 shots on goal.
