Volleyball Aigles Bleues in Wolfville on Saturday

Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-3=8pts, 3rd position) have a chance to better last year’s record when visiting the Acadia University Axewomen (2-4=4pts, 4th position) in an Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball game on Saturday evening in Wolfville.

The Aigles had a 4-12 record in 2015-2016 and the team could win its 5th game this season. Moncton had a 3-1 edge over Acadia in their only game this year.

"We are going to stress the defensive side of our game," said player Kristina Cyr. "We practiced it a lot this week as we were getting ready for the match. We will also do our best to play our game."

"I am not sure what to expect. Acadia had two of their top players injured and I am not sure if they will play," stated Moncton coach Monette Boudreau-Carroll. "We cannot underestimate them either. We want them to adapt to our game. It would be nice to win a second match against Acadia before the holidays."

All players are available for the weekend game.
