Track & Field: 3 UMoncton athletes at U SPORTS
Three athletes from the Université de Moncton set off Wednesday for Winnipeg, Man., to compete at the U SPORTS Track and Field Championships.
Max Mazerolle will compete in the heptathlon on Thursday and Friday, while Samuel Bourque will throw the shot put on Saturday. Rémi Ouellette will compete in the para F41 shot put on Saturday. All three athletes won individual gold medals at the Atlantic University Sport Championships in their respective disciplines.
“I look forward to seeing these athletes in action in Winnipeg,” said coach Steve LeBlanc. “They are capable of performing well. It will be a great experience for these athletes.”
Samuel Bourque is aiming for a gold medal in the shot put, having just cleared 17m at the AUS.
