Reds visit Aigles Bleus on Tuesday evening
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (0 and 1) will do everything they can to force a third game when they host the University of New Brunswick Reds (1 and 0) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in game 2 of the Atlantic University Sport men's hockey final series best of 3.
The Reds won the first game 3-1 and can win their sixth straight AUS championship with a win Tuesday evening. If a third game is needed, it will be Thursday night in Fredericton.
“The players know what's at stake and we'll have to come out strong to ensure that we have a good chance of winning the game in our nest, the last of the 2023-2024 season,” said Aigles Bleus coach Derek Cormier. “We need to play well in front of our fans. It will be important to keep the focus and play with discipline. I'm predict another close scoring game with intensity.”
Goaltender Olivier Adam was the first star in the last two playoff games.
All tickets for the game were sold out in a matter of minutes last Friday. For a fee, people can follow the game at AUStv.ca.
