Volleyball: Reds visit on Friday against the Aigles Bleues

The end of the regular schedule and the season will ring this weekend with 2 games in women's volleyball in Atlantic University Sport for the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues.
Joline Richard's squad will finish the regular season in 5th place and will miss the end-of-season playoffs. The University of New Brunswick Reds will be the visitors on Friday at 7 p.m. at CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud in the final home game. The Aigles Bleues and Reds will play a second game on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Fredericton.
The Reds are 6 points ahead of the Aigles Bleues in 4th and last qualifying place. The games between these two teams have produced close scores throughout the year and the weekend's games are expected to offer spectators several spectacular plays.
“We want to finish our season well and we're going to give it our all,” said Aigles Bleues coach Joline Richard. “There's no pressure on our shoulders. We've had some great moments this season and that should continue this weekend.”
The Moncton Campus Athletic Department and the team will recognize 5 players who complete 5 or 4 years with the program this season on Friday evening before the contest. Ivana Urquhart-Mladinéo is completing her 5th and final season of her university volleyball career and Cassidy Martin, Emily Robichaud, Claudie Chiasson and Sara Chiasson are completing their 4th volleyball career season.
