The Tommies visit the Aigles Bleues on Friday
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (0 and 1) have their backs against the wall and will host the St. Thomas University Tommies (1 and 0) on Friday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in game 2 of the Atlantic University Sport Women's Hockey Quarter-Final Series best of 3 at the Moncton campus.
The Tommies won the first game 1-0 on Tuesday night in Fredericton with a strong performance from both goaltenders.
“We're in familiar territory,” said Aigles Bleues coach Marc-André Côté. “We know it's going to be a close game between our two teams. We're going to have to play with more conviction and simplify some things, especially offensively. We know the work that needs to be done and the players are ready.”
If a third game is required, it will be played Sunday in Fredericton. The winner will advance to next week's semifinal series against either the University of New Brunswick Reds or the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women.
Tickets for the game can be purchased at the arena box office starting at 6:15 p.m.
