The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues still have a hope of qualifying for the end-of-season playoffs with two games on Friday and Saturday against the Memorial University Sea Hawks in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador in Atlantic University Sport women’s volleyball action.

The Blue and Gold (5-10) has 10 points in the standings with an 8-point deficit and a game in hand on the Dalhousie University Tigers for the 4th and final qualifying spot with 5 games to play. Memorial has yet to win a game this season in 16 outings.

“We're going to Memorial with a goal in mind, to get the 4 points,” said Aigles Bleues coach Joline Richard. “We won our 2 matches against this team at the beginning of January. With 5 games to play, each one is important. We're going to play an aggressive game on the court to stand out.”

Moncton has lost its last 5 games, won 23 sets, and lost 35. Memorial won 2 sets and lost 48.

The game between the Aigles Bleues and the Saint Mary's University Huskies that was to be played last Saturday is now scheduled for Wednesday, February 14 at 7 p.m. at the CEPS gymnasium. Moncton will then have 2 games against the University of New Brunswick Reds to finish the regular season.
