Several Université de Moncton athletes at the Indoor Track and Field Championships

Several athletes from the Université de Moncton will be in Saint John this weekend for the New Brunswick Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday and Saturday.

Coach Steve LeBlanc is looking forward to seeing his team in action, the last competition before the Atlantic University Sport Championships scheduled for the Vance-Toner Stadium at CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud on Feb. 23-24.

From the Aigles Bleues, there will be Léarose Aucoin, Hannah Levyssohn, Gabrielle Côté, Joëlle Léger, Annie Clarke, Amélie Cormier, Ophelia Adas, Véronique Girouard, Abby Dubé, Myakim Nimat, Eloise Hachey, Erika Desprès, Madalyn MacKinnon, Sophie Black, Mylène Durette and Valérie Déry.

The Aigles Bleus roster is composed of Yannick Boudreau, Aris Saheb, Pascal LeBlanc, Alain Lavoie, Ghislain Girouard, Julien Thibodeau, Tippi Razafindroriaka, Max Mazerolle, Rémi Ouellette, Noah Langille, Yannick Dupuis, Samuel Bourque, Gabriel Drapeau, Gabriel Gagné, Guillaume Basque, Pierre Favre, and Adrien Bouhtiauy.

Athletics New Brunswick will also present its awards for the 2023 season at a gala event on Saturday evening. The 2023 athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers will be recognized. Aigles Bleues and Aigles Bleus nominations for awards are, in the U20 girls’ division, Gabrielle Côté and Madalyn Mackinnon and U20 boys, Guillaume Basque and master’s men, Steve LeBlanc. In the men's free category, there is Samuel Bourque. In cross country, Madalyn MacKinnon is nominated.
