The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (14-9-3=31pts, 2nd position) are 4 points ahead of the Saint Mary's University Huskies in 3rd place and want to maintain this lead with 2 games on the road this weekend in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action.

The Blue and Gold will be in Halifax on Friday to face the Dalhousie University Tigers (7-17-2-0=16pts, 7th position) who are still fighting for a spot in the end-of-season playoffs with the Acadia University Axemen. On Saturday, the Aigles Bleus will be in Antigonish for a battle with the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men, both games at 7 p.m.

“These are two important end of season games,” said Aigles Bleus coach Derek Cormier. “We know where we stand right now, and we will have to be ready for both. These are tight games, and we need to have the focus and be well aligned. The details will make the difference and we must get it right. We need to work together as a group.”

According to goalkeeper Olivier Adam, “It's a big weekend. We have 4 games left and we want to consolidate our lead in 2nd place. It's important to get two wins. If we play disciplined, intense, and work hard like we do in the playoffs, it's going to be great. We must continue this path.”

It is possible to watch both games at the AUStv.ca.
