Volleyball: Aigles Bleues face the Huskies on Friday
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (5-9=10pts, 5th position) visit the Saint Mary's University Huskies (10-4=20pts, 2nd position) on Friday in their only game of the weekend in Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball action in Halifax.
Moncton has lost its last 4 games and Saint Mary's its last outing. This is an opportunity for the Aigles Bleues to get another 2 points in the standings with 6 games left in the regular season. Moncton is 4 points behind the Dalhousie University Tigers for the 4th and final playoff spot.
“It's important not to have a very wide gap between us and 4th place,” said Moncton coach Joline Richard. “We need to be more aggressive on the court and assert ourselves more. We know we have the team to win.”
The Aigles Bleues defeated the Huskies twice in mid-November, 3-2 and 3-1 and the coach hopes to repeat the feat.
