Reds to face Aigles Bleues on Wednesday
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (9-8-0-2=20pts, 6th position) host the University of New Brunswick Reds (15-3-0-0=30pts, 1st position) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game.
The task will not be easy as the Reds have won their last four games and the Aigles Bleues have lost their last 5. The Reds have scored 61 goals and allowed 32, a difference of 29 in 18 games. The Aigles Bleues record is 46 and 39, a difference of -3.
However, the Aigles Bleues have won 2 of the 3 meetings so far this season between these two teams with scores of 4-2, 2-0 and 2-6.
“Of course, we want to turn the tide,” said Aigles Bleues coach Marc-André Côté. “We had some good discussions as a team to get to the point where we were able to play 60 minutes and stay focused. We played some good games against the Reds, and we need to keep that going.”
Tickets for the game will be available at the arena box office starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
