Anne Paquette and Jérémy Michel are UMoncton's athletes of the week
Anne Paquette of Baie-Sainte-Anne New Brunswick and Jérémy Michel of Lévis Québec are the IRM Moncton MRI athletes for the week of January 1 to 7, 2024, as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.
Volleyball player Anne Paquette was an important part of the Aigles Bleues three victories last week. She had 28 kills in those matches and added 8 blocks and 14 aces, with multiple receptions. She was consistent on the court and continually encouraged her teammates. She is a 3rd year student in the Bachelor of Social Work program.
For his part, forward Jérémy Michel was a star for the Aigles Bleus in men's hockey during the weekend's two games. He had a goal and 3 assists Saturday night in the win, finishing with +3 and 2 shots on goal. He was chosen the 3rd star of the game. He added 4 shots on net on Friday and was +1. He is a 2nd year student in the Bachelor of Kinesiology program.
