The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (17 gp, 9-6-0-2=20pts, 4th position) will host the Saint Mary's University Huskies (15 gp, 8-5-1-1=18pts, 5th position) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on the Moncton campus in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game.

It's the first of 11 games to be played in the second half of the season for Marc-André Côté protégés. The athletes are happy to return to competition after a break of just over a month. Training resumed last week.

The Aigles Bleues have lost their last 3 games of the first half of the year and are sitting in 4th place in the standings. The Huskies have 2 games in hand and are 2 points behind the Blue and Gold. The home team wants to widen the gap from its opponents. The teams split the first two games in October and have 2 games in January.

“Playing against the Huskies is always physical and fast-paced,” said Aigles Bleues coach Marc-Andre Côté. “We want to get back on the road to victory and this game is promising. We've been training for the past six days to get ready for this return to play. All players are available.”

Erica Plourde is the Aigles Bleues leading scorer with 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points, tied for 5th in the AUS. Elizabeth Galipeau is 15th with 12 points on 7 goals and 5 assists.

The Aigles Bleues will also host the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.
