Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues coach Marc-André Côté is pleased that Annie-Pier Morency of Wellington/Mont-Carmel, Prince Edward Island, and Molly Collin of St-Lin-Laurentides, Quebec, have signed their U SPORTS letter of intent to join his women's hockey team for the 2024-2025 Atlantic University Sport season.

Annie-Pier Morency, 17, 5-foot-5, plays for the Western Wind of the Maritime U18 Women's Hockey League. “The Aigles Bleues have a good program and it's going to help me learn and become a better player on and off the ice,” she said. “In addition, it is a program in French, which is important for me for my studies. I want to become the best version of myself as a player.”

She has been playing for 5 years and her strengths are her speed, good hockey sense and a good shot. She wants to be able to take more shots on net to have more scoring chances and get stronger.

She is enrolled in the kinesiology program. She also competes in soccer, badminton, cross-country and track and field. “I know there are good teams in the league and the caliber is very good.”

Goaltender Molly Collin, 20, is 5-foot-7 and a native of St-Lin-Laurentides, Quebec. She currently plays with the Limoilou Titans of the D1 Collegiate League.

“Ever since I was old enough to understand that I could never play in the National Hockey League, playing at the university level has always been a dream for me,” she said. “In addition, my father played in Moncton with the Beavers and had a great experience, which made me want to follow in his footsteps. The Université de Moncton is a good university and the Aigles Bleues are also a very good team. I would like to be able to improve as much as possible as a goalkeeper and reach the level that will allow me to play pro.”

She has been competing in the hockey and ringette for 18 years. She is a persevering and hard-working individual who aims to improve her fitness and pre-game stress, so she can develop her goaltending potential at full capacity.

She will pursue a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
