Joëlle Richard joins the Aigles Bleues
Coach Mehyar Zekaroui is pleased that Joëlle Richard from Dieppe has signed her U SPORTS letter of agreement to play with the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues for the 2024-2025 Atlantic University Sport women's soccer season.
Joëlle Richard is 17 years old, measures 5 feet 5 inches tall and plays with Soccer Dieppe and Soccer New Brunswick teams and participates in the activities of the NB Soccer High Performance Academy.
“It's a francophone university and I know the coach and the players well,” said Joëlle Richard. “I've always wanted to join the Aigles Bleues since I was young. I'd like to contribute to help the team move up in the rankings. I also want to do my part offensively as a forward.” She has been playing the sport for 7 years and her strengths are her striking the ball solidly, speed, vision of the game, ball control and positive attitude. “I want to improve my communication on the field and my aggressiveness.”
She is enrolled in the psychology program.
