Kyla Desroches to join the Aigles Bleues
Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues women's soccer coach Mehyar Zekaroui is pleased to announce that Dieppe's Kyla Desroches has signed her U SPORTS letter of intent to join his team for the 2024-2025 Atlantic University Sport soccer season.
Kyla Desroches, 16, is 5-foot-5 and has competed with the Dieppe Soccer Club, the New Brunswick High Performance Academy and Team New Brunswick in various categories.
“Ever since I was young, I've always dreamed of playing for the Aigles Bleues,” said Kyla Desroches. “We are fortunate to have a francophone university in the region. I want to contribute to the team's success with my work ethic. I hope to become a medical doctor.”
“Kyla will be a great addition to our soccer program,” said coach Mehyar Zekaroui. “She will be able to provide us with new attacking solutions with a superior quality left foot. Kyla comes from a high-performance and academic background. The values of the Aigles Bleues are not strange to her.”
She has been in this sport for 9 years and her strengths are her good work ethic and her cross kicks on goal. “I want to continue to improve my fast-passing game. The AUS is a good league with a lot of talented players and good competition.”
She will pursue studies in DSS-health.
