Shani Rossignol and Olivier-Luc Haché are UMoncton's Athletes of the Week
Shani Rossignol of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and Olivier-Luc Haché of Savoie Landing New Brunswick, are the IRM Moncton MRI athletes of the week from November 27 to December 3, 2023 as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.
Shani Rossignol, a forward, won most of her battles with 4 shots on goal in the 2-1 loss to the Tigers in the Aigles Bleues only game of the week in women's hockey. She created four turnovers and often launched her team's offense. She is a 4th year student in social sciences-criminology.
Forward Olivier-Luc Haché was a major contributor to the Aigles Bleus two men’s hockey victories and enabled his team to take over the 2nd spot in the standings. He scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's game and finished with 2 shots on goal and +1. He found the back of the net twice on Friday night and added an assist with 9 shots on goal. He scored his team's first and fourth goals in the first period, which allowed his team to turn the score around as compared to the last game between the two teams. He is a 3rd year student in the bachelor of science - kinesiology.
