Hockey: Aigles Bleues in Halifax on Wednesday

The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (9-5-0-2=20pts, 4th position) will complete their first semester regular schedule by visiting the Dalhousie University Tigers (7-9-0-0=14pts, 6th position) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Halifax in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game.

Moncton has lost its last two games and slipped to 4th place in the standings. Dalhousie won its last game. This will be the 17th game of 28 in the regular season for the Aigles Bleues and the Tigers. Moncton has a record of 42 goals for and the same number against in 16 games. The Tigers are 45 and 48.

“This game is important for the standings to move up to third place with a positive outcome,” said Aigles Bleues coach Marc-André Côté. “We owe one to Dalhousie and we must go for the win. It's our last game before the break and we're going to give it our all.”

Dalhousie won 4-3 in the last meeting between the two teams on Nov. 10. Erica Plourde is the 7th leading scorer in the league with 8 goals and 7 assists for 15 points in 16 games. Elisabeth Galipeau follows in 11th place with 7 and 6 for 13 points. Goaltender Audrey Berthiaume is 7th in the rankings with a .921 save percentage. Annick Boudreau is 11th at .897.
