The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (6-4-2-0=14pts, 3rd position) have lost their last 4 games and the team will give everything to reverse this direction with two home games this weekend in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action.

The Saint Mary's University Huskies (6-6-0-0=12pts, 4th position) will be the opponents on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Acadia University Axemen (3-7-0-2=8pts, 6th position) on Saturday at the same time at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

These are two lower ranked teams, and these games are worth 4 points. Moncton is hoping to widen the gap with them.

“Like every week, it's a big weekend that awaits us. After 4 losses, we need to get back to work quickly and earn these 4 points,” said coach Derek Cormier. “We know the importance of the games and we've beaten the Huskies twice. On Friday, they'll want to beat us. We must play with speed, confidence and for 60 minutes. We like to play at home, and this is our last weekend of two games before Christmas.”

For forward Edouard St-Laurent, “the most important thing as a team is to see the next day and focus not on our losses, but on the good things,” he said. “After a good week of training, we are ready, and we know that all the matches are close. We must show up, and we know we can win against any team if we put our mind to it. The team wants to earn the 4 points this weekend. We have to focus on ourselves and do the right things to get the wins.”

Maxime Boudreau, Mika Cyr, Vincent Lanoue and Thomas Cusson are still injured and will miss the weekend games.
