The Aigles Bleues to face Tommies Saturday
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (4-2-0-1=9pts, 3rd place) travel to Fredericton on Saturday to meet the St. Thomas University Tommies (4-1-0-0=8pts, 4th position) in an Atlantic University Sport women's hockey game at 7 p.m at the Grant Harvey.
Only one point separates these two teams in the standings and the game promises offensively and defensively. Moncton has scored 20 goals and allowed 20 in 7 games while St. Thomas is 16 and 10 in 5 games.
“It's certainly another game that will require us to play a full 60 minutes,” said Aigles Bleues coach Marc-André Côté. “We have a good rivalry between our two teams and we want to continue to build on our successes from the last game. Our offence worked well on Wednesday, and we need to keep scoring goals. I will ask our players to take their game up a notch and be ready.”
The Tommies have won their last three games, and it will be a great challenge for both teams.
