X-Women and Tigers to face Aigles Bleues on Friday and Saturday
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (3-0-0-0-1=7pts, 1st position) will have their work cut out for them this weekend when they host the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women on Friday and the Dalhousie University Tigers on Saturday in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey action.
The X-Women (3-0-0-0-0=6pts, 2nd position) will be a tough opponent and the Tigers (1-3-0-0-0=2pts, 6th position) are still a team that gives Marc-André Côté's squad a hard time. Both games are at 7 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on the Moncton campus.
“We're playing two very different teams and both games will be difficult and hard-fought,” explained Marc-André Côté. “We got off to a slow start in a few games, but we managed to get back into the game. We must make sure we play a full 60 minutes in both games and come out of the weekend with a better team.”
The Aigles Bleues are off to one of their best seasons starts in recent years. The work of the veterans and the arrival of capable rookies allows the team to stand out.
Weekend games are part of the annual alumni return to the Moncton campus.
Tickets for the game can be purchased at the arena box office starting at 6 p.m. each night.
