Men's hockey: Aigles Bleus are looking for first win
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (0-2-0=0pts) will do everything they can to get their first win of the young 2023-2024 season by playing two games this weekend at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action.
The St. Francis Xavier University X-Men (1-1-0=2pts) will face off Friday and the Dalhousie University Tigers (1-1-0) on Saturday, both games at 7 p.m.
“We worked hard this week to correct our last week's mistakes,” said Blue and Gold coach Derek Cormier. “We hit the reset button after the last two games, and we must keep our focus for 60 minutes. This league is very competitive, and every game will be a battle. It's easy to lose a game if you don't play 60 minutes.”
The starting goalkeeper on Friday is expected to be Olivier Adam. All players are available except William Basque, Vincent Lanoue and Mika Cyr.
Saturday's game is scheduled with the annual return of alumni to the campus. People may purchase their tickets for the games at the CEPS reception desk during the day or beginning one hour before game time at the arena box office.
