Solar eclipse observation session
The team at the Université de Moncton's Physics and Astronomy Department is organizing an observation session for eclipse hunters, or anyone interested in observing the partial eclipse on Saturday, October 14.
To mark the event, Viktor Khalack, professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, will give a short presentation at 1 p.m. in room A102 of the Rémi-Rossignol pavilion on the Moncton campus, before accompanying participants to the observatory on the roof of the Léopold-Taillon pavilion.
It will also be possible to gather in front of the Rémi-Rossignol building to see this celestial phenomenon in the company of students from the Physics and Astronomy Department.
Please note that admission is free, and that the partial eclipse will be at its maximum at 2:32 p.m.
As you should never observe the Sun with the naked eye, viewing glasses will be available, but quantities are limited.
