Volleyball: The Aigles Bleues host the Reds on Friday evening
Women's volleyball fans will attend and interesting game Friday at 7 p.m. at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium on the Moncton campus as the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues will host the University of New Brunswick Reds in a preseason 2023-2024 Atlantic University Sport volleyball game.
“We set goals at the beginning of the year that we wish to accomplish in the coming months, and we are working towards them,” said Aigles Bleues coach Joline Richard. “We won the first game in Fredericton last weekend and played our game. The players showed great progress. I'm going to give them the chance to play. Our defensive and offensive game worked well.”
This will be the first game for fans to witness this year’s team in action. The rivalry between the two teams is strong. The game in Fredericton was won 3-2 by the Aigles Bleues in 5 sets. The team will then travel to Toronto for a preseason tournament in mid-October.
