Karine McLaren has been appointed Interim Associate Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Université de Moncton for a term ending June 30, 2024.

Professor McLaren joined the Université de Moncton on July 1, 2017. She holds a bachelor's degree in law (1998) from London Guildhall University, England, as well as several practical and theoretical certificates in law and management from the same university. She also holds a bachelor's degree in translation (2012) and a master's degree in law (2016) from the Université de Moncton.

Professor McLaren was a jurilinguist at the Centre de traduction et de terminologie juridiques at the Université de Moncton for two years, before becoming its director in 2017. Her research interests include Canadian law, the theory and practice of co-authoring, and legislative and judicial bilingualism in Canada.

The process to fill the position of Associate Dean of the Faculty of Law will begin shortly.
