Pierre Philippe Ferguson has been appointed Interim Dean of Studies at the Université de Moncton's Shippagan campus (UMSC), effective October 1, 2023, for a term ending June 30, 2024.

Ferguson has been at the Université de Moncton since 2010, first as an instructor and then as a professor since 2013. He holds a PhD in Physics from Dalhousie University (2009), an MSc (Physics) from Université de Moncton (2007), and a BSc (Physics), also from Université de Moncton (2004).

A dedicated professor who is respected by his peers and students alike, he contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the Shippagan campus and the Université as a whole.

He was responsible for Continuing Education at UMSC, represented UMSC at the meeting of Associate Deans, and took part in the Université de Moncton's training program for managers and executives.

The process to fill the position of Dean of Studies at the Shippagan campus will begin shortly.
