Hockey: Aigles Bleues play Ravens in Ottawa
The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues hit the road to the nation's capital for two Atlantic University Sport women's hockey pre-season games.
The Carleton University Ravens in Ottawa will be the opponents of Marc-André Côté's team Friday and Saturday evening in these first games for the 2023-2024 edition of the Moncton campus team.
Côté intends to evaluate his protégés well in the three preseason games before the start of the regular schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 4 on the road in Charlottetown against the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers.
“This trip will allow us to hold team bonding sessions and see the progress since the beginning of our practices,” said Marc-André Côté. “It will be exciting and interesting to play games after three practice weeks. The players will be able to practice the plays and the game system we hope to adopt this season.”
There are about fifteen players back from last season with the arrival of 6 rookies. The leadership group includes team captain Isadora Quirion and assistants Maritza Labrie, Cassandra Call and Alexia Desforges.
