Aleksis Roy and Jonathan Kisse are the UMoncton athletes of the week
Aleksis Roy of Moncton, New Brunswick and Jonathan Kisse of Toronto, Ontario, are the IRM Moncton MRI athletes of the week from September 4 to 10, 2023, as chosen by the Athletic Department of the Moncton campus of the Université de Moncton.
A defensive player, Aleksis Roy scored two goals, one in each game over the weekend that allowed her team to play two draws in AUS women's soccer against the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers and Memorial University Sea-Hawks. These are the first standings points in two years for the Aigles Bleues. Aleksis was a constant threat against both teams and was very generous in her defensive and offensive efforts. She was chosen her team's player of the match in both games. She is a second-year student in the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Criminology).
Forward Jonathan Kisse gave his all this weekend during the two Aigles Bleus games against the Panthers and the Sea-Hawks. He scored one goal in each of the games, a draw on Friday and a win on Sunday. He added an assist and was an exemplary leader with an impact in all phases of the game. He is a 4th year student in the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Sociology).
