The Université de Moncton expresses its support for the people of Morocco
In the wake of the terrible earthquake that killed several hundred people in Morocco, the Université de Moncton wishes to express its solidarity with the Moroccan people.
"Our thoughts are with the Moroccan people, who are experiencing a tragedy of unimaginable sadness. Our most sincere condolences go out to all members of the university community who have been affected by this event, whether directly or indirectly," said President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Denis Prud'homme.
Morocco is the second largest country in terms of international enrolment at the Université de Moncton, representing 10 % of the international student population.
