Two Université de Moncton professors elected Fellows of the Royal Society of Canada

Suzanne Dupuis-Blanchard, Professor in the School of Nursing and Director of the Centre d'études du vieillissement, and Michel Cardin, Professor in the Department of Music, have been elected Fellows of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC).

It is with great joy that I learned of the appointment of Professor Dupuis-Blanchard and Professor Cardin to the Royal Society of Canada, and it is a real source of pride for the Université de Moncton to count such high-calibre individuals among its professors," says Dr. Denis Prud'homme, President and Vice-Chancellor of the Université de Moncton. Their dedication to research has earned them all this recognition.

Recognition by the Royal Society of Canada is the highest honour that can be bestowed on an individual working in the arts, social sciences and sciences.

They will officially become Fellows at an induction ceremony to be held in Waterloo on November 18, 2023.

Founded in 1882, the RSC recognizes the intellectual, scientific and artistic achievements of individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their fields, with the goal of advancing knowledge and societal thinking to build a promising future for Canada.
