The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (7-11-0-0=14pts,6th position) will play two weekend games in Atlantic University Sport women's hockey.

The Mount Allison University Mounties (2-15-0-1=5pts,8th position) will host the Blue and Gold on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Tantramar Memorial Civic Center in Sackville. On Sunday, the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women (12-3-1-1=26pts, 2nd position) will face the Aigles Bleues at 3 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque arena.

The Blue and Gold lost their last outing and will do everything possible to get back on the road to victory this weekend. The team is only one point ahead of the St. Thomas University Tommies in 6th and last place in the playoff qualifier. The team is eager to widen this gap.

“We can't take any team lightly at this time of year,” said coach Marc-André Côté. “Despite their record, the Mounties play very good hockey and the X-Women as well. We worked on our power play this week to give ourselves a better chance of success.”

All players are available to play on the weekend. Erica Plourde is the team's leading scorer with 8 goals and 13 assists for 21 points, 5th in the AUS in 18 games. She has 2 goals on the power play and one shorthanded.
